Plastic recycling capacity grows by 17% in Europe

As reported by Plastic Recyclers Europe, there are now over 730 recycling sites with a capacity of 11.3 million tonnes across Europe, employing more than 30,000 people and generating a turnover of €8.7 billion.

The article sites the support of legislation, namely, the Plastics Strategy and the Single-Use Plastics Directive, which has helped to create a “strong foundation for the circular economy transition for plastics”.
