Improved circular economy monitoring framework

The updated monitoring framework from Eurostat incorporates an additional dimension focusing on global sustainability and resilience.

This adds to the existing four dimensions from the previous framework: production and consumption, waste management, secondary raw materials, and competitiveness and innovation.

This expansion introduces new indicators, including material footprint, resource productivity, consumption footprint, greenhouse gas emissions from production activities, and material dependency.
